Cape Town - The first T20 International between South Africa and Australia kicks off at the Bullring this Friday night and will be played in front of a sold out crowd.
After a 2-1 series loss to England in the recent T20 tour, the Proteas have their eyes set on claiming bragging rights as they take on long-standing rivals Australia.
Australia's tour of South Africa consists of three T20s and three ODIs, starting with the first T20 at the Wanderers on Friday.
Crowd favourites, Faf du Plessis and Kagiso Rabada, as well as Anrich Nortje have been added to the squad.
Apart from the on-field action, cricket fans can look forward to an action-packed evening filled with prize giveaways galore, a kids zone and entertainment between innings.
The iconic KFC Big Bucket will provide selected fans with the experience of a lifetime: watch the match from a great vantage point in the stadium, in the company of their favourite Proteas and celebrities, whilst enjoying the product on hand.
"Our intention is always to provide an unrivalled experience for our valued cricket fans. The T20 format is a crowd favourite because of the big hitting, fast paced action and whilst we are sure there will be sufficient entertainment, drama and thrills on the pitch, we have ensured the in-stadium experience will be one fans will remember," says Jono Leaf-Wright, Central Gauteng Lions CEO.
"In turn, the moral support and encouragement from the capacity crowd will go a long way in boosting the Proteas morale, ensuring the evening is a 'bucket load' of fun!"
Play on Friday is scheduled for 18:00.
